Agreement signed with Loures City Council

We are thrilled to share a significant milestone for the NAMOR Group: the signing of the agreement for the development of the Loures Nascente Execution Unit project. This moment represents an important step not only for the strategic development of the Loures region but, above all, for our company, reaffirming our commitment to sustainable growth and the future of the communities we serve.

Yesterday, Loures City Council signed a collaboration agreement with NAMOR Investments in the noble hall of the Town Hall, aiming at the elaboration, development, and approval of the urban design project for the Loures Nascente Execution Unit.

The area to be delimited covers 15.5 hectares, located in a prime fringe of Loures, and will serve as a lever for the development of other urban regeneration initiatives and its projection as a supra-municipal reference model.

With the opening in February of the Inner Urban Road (VUI), the new bypass to Loures, which will longitudinally cross the Loures Nascente area, connecting the two main entrances to the city center, this poorly urbanized area will be expanded and restructured with a coherent network of public spaces well-articulated with the center, prioritizing soft mobility modes, and an urban ecological structure with an emphasis on creating an urban park overlooking the Loures Floodplain.

This road axis will also be instrumental in the transformation of the area of this execution unit, and the signing of this collaboration agreement is the way to expedite the development of this study, which is a fundamental step for this expectant area of the city of Loures to finally be implemented.

“This Executive views private initiative as a privileged partner for the development of the municipality, which is important for the progress and dynamism of the municipalities," said the Mayor of Loures on the occasion.

Ricardo Leão also highlighted that "we are a municipality that strongly invests in private initiative and in the development that can benefit our territory, currently having around 80,000 jobs managed by companies."

Regarding the Inner Urban Road, the mayor emphasized that it "is a structuring and important road for the municipality, which will be inaugurated on February 12, and it was only possible thanks to the availability of your group."

"This axis was developed quickly and in accordance with our understanding of the future we envision for the expansion of the city and the parish of Loures, and we now have two months to complete the design project as we defined it," he concluded.

"The NAMOR group is very enthusiastic about the work it will carry out here in the future," highlighted the representative partner of this company.

Ricardo Couceiro thanked Loures City Council for its efforts, stating that this process "was long," but "we are happy to believe that our teams will do an excellent job." "We are eager to start working and developing this study, and we hope this will be the first of several investments the NAMOR group will make in Loures."
